Week #3

Hello again, again!

It's the end of the third week. 

I just wanted to say thank you again for all the traffic and saves. The community aspect of this is very encouraging for me. I appreciate the increase in reviews as my goal is visibility.

Growth Metrics:

3,199 downloads of 0.4 over the last week.

We've made it to 29.3k views, 8.7k downloads, and have been saved to 334 collections as of the third week!

Problems:

Ichi has an initial file size limit of 1GB. I have unfortunately hit that limit. I had to do some scaling back in order to post the Android verson onto Ichi. I sent in a request for more space but that may stall the next update as I lose motivation on work that I am unsure will be fruitful.

I do have a thought, if I cannot go beyond 1GB or I run into the next size wall and cannot go beyond that. This version will become a "demo," and I will look to link users that enjoy it to other upload locations. Either way there should be a path forward.

The goal is as posted: "An Impressive Vore Community Contribution," and 1GB is not "impressive" enough for me.

Funny joke - had one person follow me and also give me a 1-star review and I looked like that Jackie Chan meme for half a day.

General Project Work (Things I spent time on that do not appear as tangible results):

I spent time building "infrastructure" of my presence outside of the novel. I noticed my 0.2 version was uploaded to several other sites. I found this confusing, but I ultimately do not mind as the project is free. I was very unsure of some of the upload locations and would like to help make this project viewable and help promote known safe locations of acquiring it. I joined F95 to interact on there and put up a posting on Giantess City and I have my original presence on Eka. If you know of anywhere else that would be good, then I would like to post there to help promote the safe methods of acquisition as well as helping to get users/viewers to the most up to date version.

I spent some time reading and going through tutorials for maps creation, screens, time and loops I noticed there was something that could be done with visual studio that I had not been doing. Using multiple files that call to each other. Currently I have been writing the code for this all in order all in a row and using labels are navigation points. It's currently 5000+ lines and is what I meant by the daunting part of the work from last week. A small test showed that I could create a single space for each girl as well as spaces for formatting, maps, etc. I'll be testing this on a single girl for 0.6 but then I will most likely rework the entire under the hood portion of the novel to keep it organized and navigatable. I had a literal facepalm / head to desk moment when I tested it and it worked. That's the beauty of learning something new.

These notes were listed in the "0.5 Work in Progress" if you already read that: 

Learning "time" and loops. This will get tested on a single girl before moving to the larger view if it works out. This is related to "flags," "arrays", "variables," and "conditions." I am not sure this is the right direction for the project, but I need to trial it to be sure. This is incredibly dry reading from a code/formatting perspective.

Learning Map creation. I have two thoughts on direction for this. Emma's space would become an "after death" location which has access to girls in a more of an unlocked gallery fashion - this would require a significant rework of several things; Or, Emma's space is an entirely separate section which would not include girls on the outside of her section. Or who knows, I'm whimsical.

I am opposed to sounds right now as I feel it is jarring and will be very repetitive, and I do not know a proper way to implement at this time. HOWEVER, I can be swayed. Doing testing of additional audio: vore sounds and girl sounds. If I can get it to work and not clash, then I will start adding it. I sourced some sounds to trial out on one of the 0.5 girls. It is not promising as the sound files are worth at least 10 images a piece as is. If space is a limiter this will be cut.

Desire to return to previous girls to add onto them or finish routes is clashing with desire to add new girls. I will probably revisit previous girls during 0.6. I will still add anything that is most interesting or fulfilling to me at the current moment. Example, I had picked 3 girls for 0.5 and went and made a completely different one because it was the most interesting to me and made it the easiest to work on.

Well, I know that I want to see some girls grow as I feed their booties, or give them new dialogue when they return back to them. Especially those who bring it up. I know it sounds difficult, but I like to be rewarded with my persistence trying to help them out through their issues, and give em a good time, obviously.

I do intend to have dialog targeted at a return visit. I'm expanding the roster overall before delving too far into 2nd/3rd visits. I did learn how to do it and have already done some testing on the previous versions (Emma's conditions.)

I absolutely forgot about "expansion" or growing in size because it's not something that interests me a lot. In the spirit of what I'm trying to make I should add at least 1 girl for each of those quirks.
